They say that Königssee is the most beautiful lake in Germany, that it has a depth of 190 meters and the water there is so clean that you can drink just from the shore, that here is the highest rock wall in all the Eastern Alps, and at the bottom lies a Volkswagen Beetle. In this day trip, we will not test all the above statements. And we will simply rest and enjoy the views of the lake, which open behind each new bend of the shore or rock from the board of the electric boat that runs on the lake. The shores of the Königssee resemble the fjords of Norway, and the peaks of the Watzmann massif are a little like the Himalayas, it is hard to believe that this beauty is only a few hours by car from Vienna or Bratislava. This lake is impressive even in the photo, but just imagine how fascinating it looks in person! And getting here is surprisingly easy.

I will pick you up directly from the hotel or home in Bratislava in the morning and bring you to the lake. We will go in a comfortable car, it will be faster and more convenient than by bus or train. First of all, I advise you to go across the entire lake by electric boat and explore the surrounding mountains. Then you can go down to the upper Obersee lake, which offers a wonderful view of the valley and the waterfall. Next, you can either go on an easy hike to the Röthbachfall waterfall (about 2-2.5 hours there and back), or take an electric boat back to the beginning of the lake and take the cable car to Mount Jenner (1,874 m). The waterfall is the highest in Germany, with a height difference of 470 meters. Lunch is planned after the hike to the waterfall or before climbing the cable car. All this will take about 6 hours. After visiting the mountain or waterfall, we will head back, and in the evening I will bring you to the doorstep of your hotel. On the way back, if necessary, we will stop for dinner.

Get individual one-day transfer from Bratislava, I take only you and those you decide to take with you, no outsiders, like on the bus or train.
Avoid trains, buses and public transport, I will pick you up near your hotel or home in the morning, and we will return to the same point in the evening. Or other place at your request.
Get there quickly, safely and comfortably by car, the journey will be more pleasant than by bus or train.
Get six hours of time for visiting Königssee and Obersee lakes, which is enough for you to explore both of them.
Sail on an electric boat on the lake and see the most beautiful views of the lake and the shores that open from the water.
Have a delicious lunch in a restaurant with traditional local cuisine on the shore of Königssee lake.
Get to Jenner mount by cable car or went to the Röthbachfall waterfall in the valley, behind Obersee lake.
Return directly to your hotel or house in the evening or to another location by prior agreement (another city, airport, bus station, train station, etc.).

How to order and pay for a trip?

After agreeing on the date of transfer, I will send you the details for the reservation payment (100 €). It can be paid to an IBAN account, by card payment request or PayPal request. The rest of the amount (350 €) is paid by card or cash on the day of the transfer, at the time of departure. If you want to book a one-way trip, only to Königssee, the total cost is 350 €, reservation payment 100 € in advance and 250 € at the start of the trip.

The reservation payment can be refunded up to 48 hours before the start of the trip at your request. In certain cases of force majeure, the reservation payment can be refunded upon application no later than 12 hours before the start of the trip.

Is it possible to make a reservation without payment?

Yes, it is possible. But without reservation payment, I do not guarantee that you will go on that day. If another person shows up, and this person is ready to book that day and pay for the reservation, he/she will go, but you will not. Paying for your reservation is a guarantee to me that you are serious about your intentions, and to you it is a guarantee that your chosen date will not be booked by someone else.

Can I go with children?

A round trip lasts about 14 hours, half of which is on the road. The route runs along mountain roads and not all children tolerate such trips well. Therefore, this trip is suitable for children from six years of age. For the safety of your child, there is a booster seat, it is mandatory for children up to 145 cm tall in Austria.

Where to have lunch?

There is a wonderful restaurant with local cuisine nearby Königssee lake. You can also bring your own food (sandwiches or something else) if you don’t want to dine in the restaurant or follow a special diet.

Important! (be sure to read)

Breakfast.
You can have breakfast before leaving or we can stop at a gas station and you can have breakfast in the cafe located there. We will stop by at a convenient time for you on the way to the mountains. You can also take sandwiches with you and have breakfast at the gas station. Don’t stay hungry in the morning, lunch is not soon.)

Clothes and shoes.
The best clothes for a trip are those in which you will be comfortable. Take such clothes that you can put on something extra if it’s cold, or take off and leave in the car if it’s hot. Any unnecessary things can be left in the car, in the trunk. Shoes should be comfortable, preferably sneakers, be ready to walk about 5-7 km per day. You can take your umbrellas or use mine (there are 3 in the car) if it rains.

Motion sickness.
If you know that you have motion sickness – be sure to take special tablets according to their instructions before the trip. They are cheap, but very effective and will help you not to spoil your trip.

It is forbidden to eat in the car.
If you want to have a snack on the way, we can stop at the nearest gas station where there are comfortable tables. By ordering a transfer, you agree not to consume food inside the vehicle during the entire trip.

Safety belts.
Your safety and mine are important to me, so the use of seat belts is mandatory for ALL passengers during the trip. By ordering a transfer, you agree to use safety belts during the entire trip.

Take cash with you for additional expenses, it is not always possible to pay by card.

Do not forget your passports and other permits at the hotel/home, they should ALWAYS be with you!!!

Comfort during the trip

The car has two-zone climate control, you will not be cold or hot in any weather. On the way, you can charge your phone from the car’s power grid. There are also umbrellas, blankets and free bottled still water. If on the way you need to stop at a pharmacy, supermarket, toilet, have a snack or drink coffee – just tell me during the trip and I will find the nearest place. If you are traveling with luggage, several huge suitcases will fit into the trunk with a volume of 605 liters. Upon agreement, I can take you to the city center, train station, bus station or airport after the transfer.
